On May 12, Natural Selection and Empowered Energy Solutions announced they are teaming up to develop an energy monitoring system for commercial buildings and residential homes.
In a press release by Natural Selection, based out of San Diego, the firm stated that the system could to lead to energy independence by providing building and home owners a system to analyze energy usage and a resource to efficiently use energy.
Natural Selection will provide “computational intelligence methodologies to calculate optimized energy solutions” software to Empowered Energy Solutions for the system.
Empowered Energy Solutions, also based out of San Diego, will use the software to analyze inefficiencies in buildings and homes by using machine learning strategies, giving owners a cost-effective solution to cut down on energy consumption.
The system offers owners with a way to efficiently use energy, which can cut down on the cost of retrofitting a home or building with other alternative energy applications.
