The acquisition of Enspiria gives Black & Veatch, a consulting and construction company, a greater opportunity to offer its clients more convenient ways to enhance their smart grid capabilities.
Enspiria specializes in infrastructure development in energy, water, telecommunications, management consulting, federal and environmental markets. They have helped 35 utilities to define and implement their Smart Grid programs.
Their services include; smart meter & meter data management systems, demand response, transmission and distribution management systems, consumer portal and energy management systems, outage management systems, geographical information systems, work and asset management, and regulatory submission assistance.
The acquisition provides an all-in-one solution, with Black & Veatch providing utilities and telecommunications companies with engineering, consulting and construction expertise in the Smart Grid and utility automation markets and Enspiria bringing strategic Smart Grid planning expertise.
