As the job recovery moves more slowly than hoped, the addition of Federal funding for job creation remains critical.  And green job funding is especially valuable to the national interest.

The new phase of the Papalote Creek II wind farm will generate more than three hundred temporary jobs and deliver clean power to 60,000 households. 

GE and Lake Erie Energy Development Corporation have signed an agreement to develop the first U.S. fresh-water wind farm in Lake Erie.

The currently pending Solar Industry Development and Jobs Act would not only create 22,198 jobs, it would also develop more than 5,000 MW of solar power by 2025. That’s enough energy to power about one million homes.  


With the help of a grant by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Mississippi is building its first solar-powered housing project in the City of Jackson.
